PUBLIC MEETING - 18TH SEPTEMBER 2019

A public meeting about the Hellifield Flashes and the Station is to be held at Hellifield Village Hall on 18th September 7-00pm.  These are 2 of the consequences that have arisen from the Hellifield Regeneration Plan of 20 years ago.  Attending  will be Paul Shevlin (The Chief Executive of CDC) and David Smurthwite (Economic Development Officer of CDC) and hopefully others.

This meeting will be chaired by District Councillor Chris Moorby.

Whether you are from Hellifield or Long Preston please come along.

A CANCELLATION

The presentation by North Yorkshire Police Regarding rural crime and “Operation Owl” (about crime against wildlife, how it is being policed and what you can do to help) which was to be held at Long Preston Village Hall on September 18th at 7-00pm has had to be adjourned due to a clash with a meeting about the Hellifield Flashes.

On 11 November 2018, Long Preston commemorated the end of World War 1 with a memorial service on Maypole Green and a lighting of a bonfire on Beacon Coppy, one of 1400 around the country.  The  report and photos are now available in the Village Galleries section of this website.
