It is with great regret the May Day committee have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s celebrations. At the time of writing, the Government is aiming to reduce the spread of Covid-19 infection, with possible isolation of older adults, uncertainty over public gatherings, events, and school closures. Local elections have already been postponed for a year and there is speculation that peak infection in the UK may be in May/June. It is unclear when it may be rescheduled, but we will make sure all information is posted in the Parish Magazine, via school, village notice boards, and on the Village Website (https://longpreston.info/).
